Carl Buckner’s interest in helping others reach their financial goals began while he worked as a tax preparer. During that time, he saw many instances when, with the proper planning, individuals could have reduced their taxes significantly. That experience sparked his interest in financial planning.
Carl joined the John E. Sestina Network of Fee-Only Financial Planning Professionals in 2001. He is an active member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and recently started the NAPFA Nashville Study Group.
Carl has formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Columbus chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).
Carl served on the Board of the Dublin, Ohio Chamber of Commerce for many years. In addition, Carl was one of the founders of Leadership Dublin and was a member of the original Advisory Board of The McClure School of Information Communications Systems at Ohio University.
Along with earning an MBA from the University of Chicago, Carl has undergraduate degrees in mathematics-physics (St. Joseph’s College) and electrical engineering (Illinois Institute of Technology).
“Many individuals spend more time planning their vacations and weddings than developing their financial plans. I don’t want my clients to make that mistake,” he said. “We help our clients Manage to Be Wealthy.”
